Loving Our Neighbor

Community Outreach

Sometimes ministry begins with something very simple: Seeing a need and choosing to respond. Throughout the communities we serve, people face practical needs that can easily go unnoticed. An elderly person may need companionship. A family may need food.

Someone experiencing homelessness may need help getting through another cold night. A family may need firewood to heat their home during the winter. Agape and our local partners look for opportunities to come alongside people during those moments.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:16

Sometimes the need is large. Sometimes it is something very small. Both matter. Because behind every need is a person.

The food, firewood, clothing, visit, or assistance may meet an immediate need, but the relationship can mean much more.Every act of service gives us an opportunity to communicate something important: We see you. We care about you. You have value. And God loves you.
