Going Where Others Won't

Rural Medical Expeditions

Some communities are difficult to reach. Medical care may be limited. Resources may be scarce. And people may feel forgotten. Those are exactly the places Agape wants to serve.

Our medical expedition teams travel into rural and remote communities, meeting people where they are and bringing compassionate medical care directly to them. Doctors, nurses, medical professionals, and volunteers work together to provide care, medicine, health services, eyeglasses, and other assistance while demonstrating the love of God to everyone we meet. But an Agape expedition is about much more than what happens during a few days of medical care.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

Matthew 5:16

Impact Beyond the expedition

From the beginning, Agape has understood that lasting ministry requires a local presence.

Over the years, Agape has been involved in helping start 68 churches. Those churches represent something much greater than a number. They represent local believers who remain in their communities—building relationships, discipling new believers, serving their neighbors, and sharing God's love long after an expedition team has gone home.

Today, whenever possible, our expeditions partner with local churches and believers who know their communities and understand their needs.

Medical care can open a door.

Compassion can build trust.

The Gospel can change a life.

And the local church can continue the relationship.

That is why our goal isn't simply to enter a community, provide medical care, and leave. We go. We serve. We share. We strengthen the local church. And then we help them do the same.
